Old & New

Recently, I have been getting in contact with people from my past. Most of whom, did not end on such good terms. My goal is to reach out to those and make amends to anyone I used to socialize with.

I've made calls, texts, facebook friend requests, & instant messages. LOL. Communication technology, what a wonderous thing.

Response:

Calls? Thumbs up :)
Texts? High Five :) :)
Facebook? Smiles aplenty :) :) :)
Instant Message? Overjoyed

Check out some of these conversations:

Contacting people via instant messenger is the most difficult. I did not know what kind of reaction I would get. Makes me nervous. But I win. I always do. Ask my dear friend Thao. Holler! I'm on this life long hard path to attempt to right my wrongs and be a better person.

ILL Fitted

I'm a fan of online shopping. Seeing as fall is coming to a close, I might as well take that next step. Looking around I found this great item on my purchase list. Cardigans, I love it. You can dress them up and you can dress them down. Either way, a staple in today's fashion.

A nice piece I found is from Fiberops. Brought to you by the brilliant mind of Alyasha Owerka Moore. He also is one of the elite few responsible for Alphanumeric Brand. A traditional black cardigan that features structure, text to add that streetwear feel, and last but not least, a shawl collar. Beautiful execution. I'm copping that for sure. :)

& Quoted...

"I used to have this really nice pair of rollerblades and I was afraid if I wore them, I'd wreck them. So I kept them in a box and you know what happened to them? I outgrew them. I never wore them once outside. I just wore them in my room a couple times. If you aren't gonna use your heart, then what's the difference if it gets broken? If you just keep it to yourself, maybe it'll be like my rollerblades; when you do decide to try it, it won't be any good. You should take a chance, you got nothing to lose."

-Home Alone 2

Words of wisdom from Macaulay Cullen. It's funny because I was just talking to my co worker Amber about how entertaining this movie is. It's currently playing on ABC Family. Good stuff. I'm enjoying my half day.

I would have never thought a movie for children could have such a deep message. It's kind of nice. Gives me the courage to take that chance. The lesson to take from this is use your "rollerblades". ;)

Initiative

in⋅i⋅ti⋅a⋅tive

[i-nish-ee-uh-tiv, i-nish-uh-]

–noun
1.an introductory act or step; leading action: to take the initiative in making friends.
2.readiness and ability in initiating action; enterprise: to lack initiative.
3.one's personal, responsible decision: to act on one's own initiative.
4.Government.
a.a procedure by which a specified number of voters may propose a statute, constitutional amendment, or ordinance, and compel a popular vote on its adoption. Compare referendum (def. 1).
b.the general right or ability to present a new bill or measure, as in a legislature.
–adjective
5.of or pertaining to initiation; serving to initiate: Initi-ative steps were taken to stop manufacture of the drug.
It seems as though I lack initiative. When it comes down to it, there is a fear of making that first move that lingers my mind and my mind ONLY. Or any move at all, for that matter. Comfort is where I don't have to take a chance. A chance allows the probability of failure. In my perspective, at least. For the most part, I let the other party take the initiative. Why? Because I follow. It's safe. :) To lead, well, it's not my thing. There are risks. No thank you. One must be ready and willing. Maybe someday, but not anytime soon. Well... I will think about it. Taking the lead/initiative does open doors to new possibilities. I do have more to say. However my thoughts are running in circular logic though. As a final thought, in the near future, hopefully I can gather the courage to do so. If you see me holding my head high and the sarcasm is awfully low, you'll know. You'll know.

After work and school, it's time for some fun before the gym. :) I'm here in La Jolla hanging out at Clay's. Happy Hour has half off appetizers. Good deal. At least it better be. Zagat approved and rated. High hopes. I'm here with Davey and Kevin ;)

Make Her Say

Kid Cudi brings in a little taste of the Chi when he joins the likes of Kanye and Common. Its a nice track. I dig the video and the fits. I enjoy seeing collared shirts and shoes other than sneakers being rocked. Sometimes I wear dress shoes. Dress shoes that are designed by sneaker enthusiasts. BBC boat shoes! Whoop. The lyrics on the track are clever. Anyways, I thought this was interesting find. Found it on Hypebeast. Enjoy! :)

& just Like Mr. Kanye West, "I heard 'em say"
Why wait for tomorrow, what you can do today.

^ That's just me pretending to get lyrical. LOL

Frozen

Hello again :) The other day I happened to leave my lunch/snack at work in the fridge. To my surprise, I found my healthy carrots frozen. Whomp, whomp. Failure. Man down. Sad face. *Sigh* Oh well. Then my co worker, Ronnie ate one. It was still crunchy, just frozen and wet. Food is food. So here I am eating them and answering the phone. LOL.

Sunday

Hello! Happy Sunday Everyone! :) Today's Agenda:

  1. Get Ready
  2. Get Set
  3. Go!
  4. Work

What I'd rather be doing? Having lunch or dinner with friends.

Busy like a bee. I still have to blog about my new duty as a Wing Man. Ughhh.. soo many things to do. So little time. I feel like I am missing out. I have people to see, entertain. Thoughts and dreams to blog about. Stay tuned. Por favor.

Much Love -RED!

Guess That Animal!

Okay, so I am currently at work. Answering phones and such. The desktop image changes very often as our Concierge Staff like to change it. I really don't mind, I do it too. Today though is different. Currently the desktop has this furry little creature. I have no idea what it is. For serious. It bugs me. Check it:

So.. yeah. What is this thing. I asked my co worker Amy. I told her that I would give her a million dollars if she could tell me what it is. She said a mole. Sounded legit. I was like darn. Fiddlesticks and such. I googled moles, nothing. No match. No million dollars for her. Ashley said it was a groundhog. Google says? No. No bueno. So if anyone knows. Help me out and figure out what this thing is. Bunny? Can't be. Mouse? Sure, but where's the tale? Gah!

Camera Fun
